In recent weeks, we’ve been reading portions of physicist and Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman‘s episodic memoirs, Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman!, in our higher-level classes and have added some of Feynman’s other works to the range of books available through our rewards program.
Walter still has a few years to go before we’ll be reading Feynman’s reminiscences with him in class, but he has shown extraordinarily good taste in choosing two of these other Feynman volumes in a row when redeeming his rewards cards: Six Easy Pieces last month and Six Not-So-Easy Pieces yesterday.
The Easy Pieces books contain condensed versions of selected chapters from the wonderful The Feynman Lectures on Physics. While you’d have to pry our slipcased dead-tree edition of the FLoP from our cold, dead hands, it may interest you to know that The Feynman Lectures on Physics are freely available online, courtesy of Caltech!
