We recently introduced most of our younger students to the joys and wonders of flashcards and the basics of the Leitner System. The results so far have been very positive and we’re extending the incentives for making postcards (extra stamps on the stamp cards that, when full, can be redeemed for English-language books) indefinitely.
Note: FTW is an acronym that stands for, among other phrases, “For The Win”. It’s a way of expressing excitement or enthusiasm for something (flashcards in this case) and may or may not have originated on the long-running American TV comedy/game show Hollywood Squares.
