Above, you can see the students of one of our P3-P4 summer classes standing proudly in front of their reading comprehension answers.

Naturally, students who read and write English frequently will make faster progress in mastering the language than those who don’t, so we load all of our classes up with reading comprehension exercises custom written to gauge their understanding of the stories that we’re currently reading and force them to think about what they’ve read.

Getting them to write out their answers on the whiteboard in front of the class raises the stakes, getting them to invest more effort in finding the correct answer, and allows the rest of the class to learn from their mistakes.
