Sightseeing in Hong Kong

Emily C. and Vivien T.

This is a snapshot from the Sunday, June 17th Primary Four class. Emily C. and Vivien T. (at left and right, respectively, above) are taking notes, mostly English vocabulary, in the margin of their writing worksheet. The scenario employed for this assignment was that a friend of theirs who lives abroad would be visiting Hong Kong and wanted them to take him sightseeing once he arrived. They were to write a story, from a post-visit perspective, describing their friend’s visit and the sights they’d shown him.

To get them started, we included illustrations of some possible stops, like Ocean Park, the Science Museum, and the Space Museum, and discussed other tourist attractions in class. Naturally, no one chose to take their hypothetical friend for a ride on the Ngong Ping360 cable car!
