I’m happy. How about you?

Alvin (foreground) and Henry learn how to describe different emotional states in English.

In this photo, taken the week before last in our K3 class, after reading the Clifford the Big Red Dog phonics series volume Wet Pets, Alvin and Henry complete worksheets that give them an opportunity to practice describing human emotional states (e.g. angry, sad, scared, etc.) in English. They’re clearly very focused on the task at hand.

Alvin (foreground) and Henry work together to match photos exemplifying different emotions with their proper names.

Earlier in the same class, we played several rounds of a gam where Henry and Alvin, in turns, cooperated and worked independently to match photos depicting different emotional states with their respective names (a picture of a frightened person with the word “scared”, for example).
